Abstract

During the COVID-19 pandemic, there are various forms of data related to it. One of these data is data on vaccinations to end the COVID-19 pandemic. This can be used as a context in making statistical literacy questions. This study aims to produce valid literacy questions such as questions on the Program for International Students Assessment (PISA) with the context of COVID-19 vaccination data and describe the answers of Junior High School (SMP) students from these questions. The validator in this study was a lecturer in mathematics education and a junior high school mathematics teacher in Purwokerto. Trials to answer questions were given to 5 junior high school students in Purwokerto who were selected by purposive sampling. The results of this study indicate that the PISA type questions with the context of the COVID-19 vaccination data made have been declared logically valid. In addition, the characteristics of students^ answers to the PISA type questions that have been made are that they still have not answered broadly and in depth.
