Abstract

The use of the LMS (Learning Management System) in particular to see students^ learning activities in mathematics during the Covid-19 pandemic must be considered carefully. This is because the purpose of this study is to analyze the use of the LMS (Learning Management System) to measure students^ learning activity in mathematics during the Covid-19 pandemic. The research method used is a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. Determination of research subjects in phenomenological research depends on the ability of the interviewee to be able to convey his life experiences. Therefore, the sample in this study was 8 students of class VIII (eight) at Ksatrya Junior High School. Data collection techniques were carried out by interview. The interview data obtained will then be analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. Miles and Huberman^s model consists of three paths, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The result of this research is that students are active in learning mathematics when using the LMS, but when learning students experience various obstacles. This is because they have limitations in using current technology. In addition, this is also due to their lack of confidence to ask their difficulties when learning mathematics takes place. In this case, the teacher plays an important role in motivating students during learning, especially in learning mathematics that uses LMS.
