Mathematical Representation Ability in Reading ^Cacarakan Script^ as a Pattern of Integer Count Operations a) Mathematic Education Postgraduate, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Education, University of Pendidikan Indonesia Abstract Motivated by the low motivation to learn mathematics which results in the low achievement of basic competencies and the quality of students understanding in learning mathematics, the innovation of learning approaches that are needed that suits the needs of students. Ethnomathematics shorts were chosen to stimulate students activism in learning mathematics, by involving culture as a pearl of local wisdom raised to prove the correlation between mathematics and real-life that students can encounter in the richness of culture in the environment students. The media used is the ^cacarakan^ script to match the couple who are still used as a trust of the local community. The methods used in this study are qualitative ethnography and a gradually advanced research flow. Data collection techniques used include observation, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation.
