Abstract

This study aims to analyze spectrum and frequency assisted by Audacity Software. The research object is Sundanese Flute (Suling), with six holes and four holes. The implementation of this research uses a microphone and Audacity on the computer and each tone from the Sundanese Flute. The sound from the flutist was received by the microphone and transferred to the computer and then analyzed using Audacity software. The software analysis found that Sundanese flute four-hole and six-hole almost similar frequencies. Audacity software also can be used in practicum to analyze spectrum and frequency in learning sound wave concepts. Also, Sundanese fundamental can be an alternative learning media in teaching sound wave materials. It can be concluded that Sundanese flute and audacity software can be used as a learning media for a practicum on the sound wave in junior high school.
