STEAM Analysis on the Process of Making Pottery in the Village of Plancungan as an Alternative for Online Learning for Junior High School Student UNIVERSITAS SEBELAS MARET Abstract The study aims to analyze indigenous scientific knowledge into scientific knowledge through the STEAM approach. Interesting online learning can be done by integrating the ethnoscience of the Plancungan Village. This research uses Qualitative Descriptive (QD) method. Based on research at 7 schools in Ponorogo found 83,3% teachers who never used the local culture because teachers no understands about pottery making process in Plancungan village at science material. Respondents were 62 students from SMPN 1 Kauman, SMPN 1 Mlarak, and MTSN 4 Ponorogo, 37,74% students knowledge this local culture. The value of local wisdom contained in process of making pottery, namely character values, aesthetic values, historical values and environmental values. STEAM analysis including Science on process of making pottery requires a tool in the form of a turntable called ^Perabot^. This turntable is a form of Simple Plane. Simple Planes are tool that can facilitate human work. The math is in the Mechanical Advantage of the ^Perabot^ which can be calculated by dividing the radius of the wheel by the radius of the axle. Engineering on the body has the greatest ratio of volume to overall proportion. The moth is smaller than the neck which adapted to its function. Traditional pottery burning technology using a field stove with husk, straw, and bamboo as fuel. The art of pottery can be seen in the form, color and function.
