Improving Archive Awareness and Service Quality Using HALO ARSIP Application and Education For Indonesian Government Employees

Abstract

Archives play an important role in the life of the nation and state, therefore the community participates in archiving and cares about archives so that the fate of archives is maintained. In ordinary society, archives are still relatively foreign and often equate archives with libraries, or documents. These archives are unique and cannot be equated with other documents and library materials. One of the problems faced is the absence of service facilities related to archival information to go employees within the Indonesian National Family Planning Board (BKKBN) so that many BKKBN employees, both Archivists and Archive Managers, find it difficult to obtain information regarding archival management. This paper discusses the application innovation namely ^Halo Arsip^ that was created at the end of 2022 which was a joint product between Archivists and Training Facilitator (Widyaiswara) as a learning product for Employees of BKKBN Basic Training to answer the needs mentioned above. The research method used is the mixed method which will be held in December 2022 by testing the results of the Halo Archives application. This research activity was carried out from 08 November to 19 December 2022. The results showed that there was this application has eligible level of 64.5% from using the Halo Arsip application at BKKBN. Conclusion of this study that ^Halo Arsip^ application can be continuing to mass production because the results showed that there was this application has eligible level and pass the expert validation.
