Abstract

Attention is a cognitive process that can be disturbed by various things. One of the distractions is a stimulus that is irrelevant to the task at hand, both visually and audio. This study aims to see the effect of music and chips on the selection of attention in reading books. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach. The research participants were four Masters Students in the city of Bandung. The data analysis technique uses descriptive analysis based on the results of the self reports of each participant. The results of this study indicate that there is an influence between music and chips with the selection of attention in reading books.
