Application of Media Vocationalogy: Effectiveness Analysis in Entrepreneurship Practicum Activities

Abstract

The objective of research was to find out: (1) the implementation of practical learning in Produk Kreatif dan Kewirausahaan (PKK) subjects at Vocational High Schools, and (2) the effectiveness of implementing practical learning in Produk Kreatif dan Kewirausahaan (PKK) subjects at Vocational High Schools using Vocationalology media. This research is a qualitative research with a case study approach. The data source came from 14 informants in the limited trial from 2 private vocational schools in Malang Regency, namely SMK NU Sunan Ampel Poncokusumo and SMK IT Asy-Syadzili Pakis with key informants namely the vice principal of curriculum, PKK subject teachers, and program students expertise in Teknik Komputer dan Jaringan (TKJ). Data collection techniques used were interviews, observation, and document analysis. Data validation was carried out by source triangulation and method triangulation. Data analysis was performed using descriptive analytical techniques. The results of the research are as follows: (1) the implementation of practicum learning in the subject of Creative Products and Entrepreneurship (PKK) studied is not yet fully effective in increasing student productivity in developing skills according to their area of expertise, (2) Vocationalology media is effective in increasing productivity in practicum activities SMK students through a portfolio-based structured-LMS.
