Abstract

This research aims to elaborate on the superiority of religion over secularism. As an ideology that rejects religious values in human life, the emergence of this ideology is considered dangerous for the sustainability of religious life. Moreover, the development of science and technology seems to answer human problems. This research method uses a qualitative library research approach, with data triangulation analysis techniques. The research reveals that religion outperforms any ideology made by humans, including secularism. Because religion is sourced to unlimited power. The role of religion is minimized to take care of life after death. In the Qur^an, the emergence of the seeds of secularism is reported in Surah al-Jatsiyah: 24 mentions the view of people that life ends with death. And emphasizes the weakness of the above view, because it is unfounded. In Surah Ali ^Imran: 139, emphasizes that a person will excel in life if they truly believe in God. Thus, as a religious person, the existence of the notion of secularism need not be worried if the belief in the truth of religion continues to be strengthened, in addition to the technical agenda of integrating science with religion continues to be carried out.
