Abstract

This study aims to examine the management of zakat through zakat institutions in Baznas, Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency so that the utilization of zakat on the mustahiq economy can be increased by means of productive zakat management. Therefore, it is important to study through several main problems regarding how the productive zakat utilization model has a positive impact on the mustaiq economy? What causes the low collection of zakat funds through the Baznas of Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency, so that it becomes an obstacle to optimizing the utilization of zakat? This research was carried out qualitatively through observation, interviews, and documentation, because there were things related to the casuistry that occurred in the area. UPZ which has been formed by the community by paying their own zakat to Baznas and distributing funds in the form of cash, basic necessities, business capital assistance, livestock hall programs and training for coaching SMEs in cake making. Likewise, distribution through the Qardhu al-Hasan program, the Livestock Center Program and MSME Development by means of training to process cakes.
