Abstract

This research is a research and development (Research and Development), which aims to produce an e-module on global warming based on Socio Scientific Issues (SSI) to improve students critical thinking skills and sustainability awareness. The research and development design used is the ADDIE (Analysis Design Development Implementation Evaluations) model design. This research was conducted in June 2022-June 2023. The research subjects for implementing the e-module were 38 class X students of SMA Negeri 3 Cibinong. Research data was obtained through e-module validation questionnaires, critical thinking skills essay questions, sustainability awareness questionnaires, and student response questionnaires. E-module validation is carried out by expert lecturers and science teachers. The results of the study show that the SSI-based global warming e-module is valid/feasible to use in terms of feasibility (content, presentation and language). The CVI results related to the feasibility of the e-module are 0.99 (valid). Learning using the ESD-based global warming e-module can improve critical thinking skills and sustainability awareness in obtaining an average N-gain score of 0.68 (high category) and 0.55 (medium category). Student responses to the SSI-based global warming e-module were very good with an average percentage score of 92%
