Abstract

The study^s objective is to develop transformational leadership instruments for the principals of Senior High schools to measure their Leadership affective. The study develops a transformational leadership dimension adapted from Bass & Riggio. The research and development research with Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) is used to confirm, analyze and develop items constructed. Four-D is used as a design of instrument development. The respondents of this study are chosen purposively. As many as 39 Likert scale items are constructed and tested on the principals and teachers of senior high schools in Bogor, Indonesia. The instruments constructed are analyzed and revised by expert judgment. The items were revised and then tested by the panelists. The data was collected and analyzed using Aikens V Index to measure the validity of the instruments. As many as 32 instrument items have good criteria because > 0.69 was V-table, and the rest were dropped. Additionally, the result of the reliability test using Cronbach Alpha is highly significant. As many as 32 significant items were tested on the respondents and analyzed using Mplus to confirm the loading factors of the items. Based on the result, as many as 24 instrument items were highly significant because the estimated score > 0.50 of the loading factors. The items confirmed are tested the reliability using Cronbach Alpha. Based on the significant calculation gained, the score of the reliability testing is 0.884. It is concluded that the items constructed and confirmed are in the fit model.
