Total Quality Management in University: A Bibliometric Overview 1,2,4 Accounting Education, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, Bandung, Indonesia Abstract Total quality management (TQM) is one of the concepts used to improve management quality through continuous improvement. Many studies in TQM implementation show that TQM affects productivity, customer satisfaction, company reputation, and profit. In the university itself, the quality of educa-tion is not easy to measure because this institution has different functions from the business world, a unique setting for service quality, a unique organ-izational models and missions. The purpose of this study is to emphasize knowledge expansion and research dispersion in the broad topic of TQM and the implementation of TQM in universities. For this purpose, the research ar-ticles published in the Scopus database from 1989 to May 2023, covering 24 years, have been taken to perform a bibliometric analysis. This paper de-scribes the descriptive trend of research articles concentrating on perfor-mance metrics and highlights the primary themes using a thematic evolution method. According to the findings of the bibliometric studies, total quality management quality control, cost effectiveness and higher education quality management societies and institutions.
