Abstract

This research explores the concept of human capital and its impact on the performance of staff and teachers in Eco Pesantren Daarut Tauhiid. The study adopts a qualitative research method to gain an in-depth understanding of the relationship between human capital and performance in an educational setting.
The concept of human capital emphasizes the importance of investing in individuals^ knowledge, skills, and abilities to enhance their productivity and contribute to organizational success. In the context of the Pesantren, which is an Islamic boarding school that combines religious education with environmental sustainability principles, the concept of human capital becomes even more significant.
Through interviews, observations, and document analysis, data was collected from staff and teachers in Eco Pesantren Daarut Tauhiid. The qualitative approach allowed for a comprehensive exploration of their experiences, perceptions, and practices related to human capital development and its influence on their performance.
The findings of this study highlight the positive influence of human capital on the performance of staff and teachers in the Pesantren. Investing in continuous learning, training programs, and skill development initiatives has resulted in improved instructional practices, enhanced classroom management, and effective teamwork among the staff.
Moreover, the integration of environmental sustainability principles into the curriculum and daily practices has expanded the skill set and knowledge base of the staff and teachers, enabling them to impart environmental awareness to students effectively.
This research contributes to the existing literature on human capital by providing insights into the specific context of an Eco Pesantren. The findings underscore the significance of investing in human capital to improve performance outcomes in educational institutions, particularly those with a unique focus on environmental sustainability.
