Effect of self-concept and knowledge sharing on the performance of individual lecturers

Abstract

A teacher^s ability to achieve performance success can be influenced by several things. In addition to intellectual abilities, a good self-concept plays an important role in maximizing lecturer performance. The purpose of this study is to identify and analyze the effect of self-concept and knowledge sharing on performance. The population in this study were lecturers at universities in Indonesia, with a total of 10 units of analysis in Indonesia using the Simple Random Sampling Technique to obtain a sample of 98 lecturers. The analysis technique used descriptive analysis and inferential analysis using multiple linear regression. The results of this study indicate that self-concept has a positive and significant effect on performance, knowledge sharing has a positive and significant effect on performance, and both self-concept and knowledge sharing have a positive and significant effect on the performance of individual lecturers at tertiary institutions in Indonesia.
