Abstract
Enterprise Architecture (EA) is a strategic framework used to understand and manage the complexity of organizational business. In this context, enterprise architecture involves the design and management of the entire infrastructure, business processes, data, and applications used within an organization. Digital transformation refers to fundamental changes in how organizations use technology to improve performance and optimize business processes. This research aims to conduct a systematic literature review (SLR) on the role of enterprise architecture in supporting digital transformation in the era of Industry 4.0, with a focus on the industrial sector. The methodology used in this study involves using the Google Scholar database. This research includes journal articles, conference proceedings published between 2018 and 2022. The literature review or systematic literature review (SLR) forms a synthesis analysis based on the research model using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta Analyses (PRISMA). A total of 16 articles that meet the key issue criteria were obtained. From the results of this research, 4 digital transformation technologies developed in Industry 4.0 and 9 enterprise architecture frameworks were identified. Thus, this study demonstrates that enterprise architecture can play a role in supporting digital transformation in the era of Industry 4.0, especially in the industrial sector. Enterprise architecture helps organizations design information technology infrastructure that can support digital transformation more effectively and efficiently, while minimizing potential risks and complexities.
