Abstract

This study aims to determine the description of psychological conditions, especially in competitive anxiety in the finsswimming. Competitive anxiety is one of the psychological aspects that must be eliminated because it is related to a competition or match situation, which raises negative emotions from an athlete. The research method used in this research is descriptive with a quantitative approach. The population used in this study is from the KU- 15-18 Age Group Team and above men and women who will compete in the PON qualifying round championship, using sampling techniques, purposive sampling can be classified as 18 athletes. For instruments used using the Competitive State Anxiety Inventory (CSAI-2). The results in this study illustrate that with Dryland treatment can reduce Competitive anxiety owned by finsswimming athletes in jawabarat. Suggestions to reduce Competitive anxiety athletes are where the coach applies mental training in training periodization.
