Abstract
This study aims to determine the effectiveness and efficiency of measuring instruments used in testing the vertical jump of volleyball athletes who have completed undergraduate education in the field of sports. a comparative approach is used to compare research data with a sample of 21 people. Data collection was carried out for three days, at 08.30 to be exact, by applying different measurement methods to measure the jump height of the athletes. The data collection procedure was carried out using a one-by-one model. This means that each respondent who has made one jump will change with another respondent until all respondents have the opportunity to make each jump three times. The results of the study show that there is a difference that is not so significant between the jump measurements made with vertec and cronu jumps. Such a different significance can be seen in the results of measurements carried out by wall jump or traditional methods. Apart from that, this study also found that even though cronu jump and vertec are the two devices being analyzed that are proven to provide reliable effectiveness values, the two devices are not interchangeable. Therefore, it is recommended to always use the same type of device to evaluate the vertical jump.
