Abstract

This research discusses the implementation of Presidential Regulation Number 86 of 2021 Concerning the Grand Design of National Sports (DBON) in West Java. It analyzes the contribution of Sports Law Number 11 of 2022 to developing sports and peace and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the Presidential Regulation on the Grand Design of National Sports (DBON) in West Java and analyze the extent to which the Sports Law contributes to developing sports and peace and achieving the SDG^s goals. The research method used is literature study and policy analysis. Data from the Sports Law, central and regional government policy documents regarding sports development, and other relevant sources are collected. The analysis is carried out by comparing the provisions in the regulations with the principles of developing sports and peace, as well as the SDG^s goals related to sports.
The hypothesis of this study states that the implementation of the Presidential Regulation concerning the Grand Design of National Sports in West Java has less significance in increasing the development of sports and peace. There still needs to be an integration of national sports policy programs with the regions. The Sports Law^s contribution to sports development and peace still needs to be improved. There needs to be more clarity between the provisions in the law and the principles of developing sports and peace and the SDG^s goals.
This research provides insight into the importance of involving Sports Law in implementing national sports policies and creating a framework that supports the development of sustainable and peaceful sport development. This research implies the need to revise and improve existing policies to ensure a more significant contribution to sports development and peace and the achievement of SDG through sports in West Java.
