Abstract

Learning on excess conceptual material in a short period of time is one of the causes of learning barriers. The Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) model is a fundamental material for students with a Computer and Network Engineering expertise package. However, this material is only considered a theoretical material in computer networks that is complicated, boring, and difficult to learn. The goal of this study is to use an inquiry-based learning model based on Computer Supported Collaborative Learning (CSCL) using a learning management system (LMS) as a learning medium to improve learning outcomes in the cognitive domain on OSI model material. The research methodology was the Smart Learning Environment Establishment Guideline (SLEEG) and the research design was a one-group pretest-posttest. From the results of the study, it was concluded that: 1) LMS received a high score score of 95%, and the learning materials received a high score of 91%. 2) LMS can improve student learning outcomes with an increase from 49.5 to 70.8 on the test results with an average gain value of 0.4, which is included in the medium score, and the results paired T test, which proves that there is a significant difference in student learning outcomes after the treatment is given. 3) LMS received a high score of 73.8% from students respond.
