Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the social and emotional development of tribes of children in especially early childhood in the Play Group of Children in Nurul Ikhlas, Bukit Suban Village, Air Hitam District, Sarolangun Regency. The research method used is a qualitative approach. The results showed that 1) the early childhood learning process of the Nurul Ikhlas Play Group of the Suku Anak Dalam had used a standard curriculum for early childhood education, 2) social and emotional development was carried out by means of repetitive, slow and by the method of storytelling. 3) in general the social abilities of tribal early childhood include the ability to get along, socialize and communicate well with friends and teachers, work together, be patient waiting, take care and help friends, share food and toys, give in to friends and be responsible for seeing tribal children in, its just that the level of ability is not like children in general.
