The Prototype of e-Report 1.0 Version as A Solution for Early Childhood Education Teacher

Abstract

One of the duties of Early Childhood Education (PAUD) teachers is to compile child development reports to parents based on the results of childrens development assessments during learning programs in PAUD. Along with technological developments, childrens development reports are compiled using computer applications. Based on the results of previous research, it was found that the readiness of PAUD teachers in terms of computer literacy, one of which is the use of Ms. Office (Ms. Word, Ms. Excel, and Ms. Power Point) with simple operations to support and help facilitate her work. Therefore, this research was conducted to design the development design of an Excel application-based child development report development application which is more helpful for teachers in preparing child development reports. This research method uses the Borg & Gall R & D model, but only up to the third stage, namely the initial product design stage. The research procedure was carried out in the following stages: identification and analysis of needs, planning the design of e-Report Ver 1.0, and designing the initial product of e-Report Ver 1.0. This research partner is PAUD Nuraini Yogyakarta, one of the leading PAUDs under Aisyiyahs organization. Through this research, several things were produced: the results of the needs analysis in the preparation of child development reports and product specification plans based on the 2013 PAUD curriculum and the format used among Aisyiyah (product features), as well as the prototype of the initial product development results (menu development according to the features planned in Excel application sheet). This prototype can be continued to the expert validation stage.
