Abstract

In badminton athletes, the problems that often arise are in the lack of muscle power in the arms and legs when competing, because so far the training program that is often used is not optimal, so it requires a more effective training pattern. Undulating training patterns can be an alternative exercise planning model that is superior in increasing power.
The purpose of this study was to determine whether undulating exercise had an impact on the muscle power of the arms and legs of volleyball athletes. The research method used was experimental, the research design was pretest-posttest only group design, and the sample was 12 people. The instruments used in this study were two-hand medicine ball put and vertical jump.
The results of this study indicate that there is an increase in the power of the arms and legs of volleyball athletes after being given a training program with an undulating exercise model.
The conclusion is that undulating (wavy) exercise has a significant effect on muscle power in the arms and legs.
