Abstract
The purpose of this study was to analyze the results of VO2max measurements using laboratory and field test. The method was a descriptive quantitative study with comparative approach. The sample of this study were male and female athletes in Indonesia rowing team involving 30 athletes (male = 17, female = 13). The anthropometrics profiles of the athletes namely age 23.5 ± 3,5 years, height male = 182.2 ± 5.01 cm and female = 171.9 ± 5.73 cm, weight male = 74.2 ± 5.85 kg and female = 68.6 ± 8.5 kg. According to the data analysis result of VO2max test rowing, it concludes that there was a strong significant correlation in the measurement with laboratory and field test in rowing (male r = 0.65 and Female r= 0.62). The result of the correlation show that the VO2max conducted with laboratory and field measurement did not show a significant difference. Therefore, both parameters test can be used in rowing Vo2Max test.
