Abstract
This study originated from the idea that the elderly have the same opportunity to fulfill their basic needs satisfaction and attitudes through sports, but in reality it has not increased. This condition has an impact on the lack of fulfillment of basic needs satisfaction and attitudes through sports. The purpose of this study is to provide an overview of the basic needs satisfaction and attitudes of the elderly through sports. The method used in this research is descriptive with a quantitative approach using a questionnaire. Participants are carried out in the elderly who participate in the sports community actively. The results showed that exercise fulfills basic needs satisfaction by increasing motivation and intrinsic well-being and attitudes of the elderly. This study provides recommendations for the elderly to pay attention to basic needs satisfaction and attitudes through exercise for successful aging.
