Abstract
This research aims to determine the application of the performance assessment instrument model based on Volleyball Information System (VIS) in assessing the student^s performance in volleyball learning. Research method used quasi experiments with interrupted times-series design. Participants in the study were high school students in the city of Bandung using random cluster sampling techniques. The instrument used in this research was an observation format developed from VIS FIVB 2005 which measures six playing skills (service, receive, set, spike, block and dig). All data assessment results of VIS Assessment model were analyzed using one-lane variant analysis technique on interval assessment (repeated measures ANOVA). The results show that VIS-based perfomance assessment models have a significant impact on improving the basic skills of volleyball playing. Based on the results of the analysis, this research can be concluded that the application of VIS-based perfomance assessment instruments models can be used in the learning process and contributes to the basic skill improvement of volleyball playing for high school students.
