Abstract
The aim of this study was to examine the convergent validity, reliability, and validity predictive of instruments to measure the level anxiety of specific in the water with instrument Sport Competition Anxiety Test Modification (SCATM), Anxiety Instrument Observation Behavior (AIOB), and performance Test as predictor. Participants of 60 college-aged students men (n =44) and women (n=16) (range aged 19-22 year) students who could not swim at 25 m. The descriptive analysis to calculating: average, Sd., range, and analysis inferential for validity with internal validity each instrument with a total score used bivariate Person correlation.. The results- Person intraclass correlations coefficient analysis (2 tailed), Instruments SCATM was validity r = 0.562, (moderat) (p= 0.00<0.01). Instrument (AIOB) coeffisien correlastions r = 0.838 (p =0.00 =<0.01) (high), and performance test, coefisien correlations r = 0.559 (moderat) (p =0.01 <0.05). Reliability with test-retest (separated 1 week) SCATM instrument, coeffisien correlations r = 0.841(high) (p =0.00 <0.01). AIOB instrument coeffisien correlastions r = 0.914 (very high) (p = 0.00<0.01), and test performance r = 0. 904(very high) (p =0.00<0.01). Validitas predictive instrument SCATM that have high anxiety and performance, have predictive validity r = - 0.043 (p = 0.02 < 0.05), showed significant relationship but negative correlation and low performance. As well as, instrument AIOB, that have high anxiety, and performance tests, showed significant correlation but negative with coeffisien correlation r = - 0.185 (p= 0.01< 0.05), in the category of low levels in performance. Validity predictive having significant relationship but negative. Students who have a high level of anxiety, both for instrument SCATM or AIOB, have the results of their performance is low or only mean able to dive a head in the water, and front float ability. Conclusion- measurement specific of water anxiety level both using a questionnaire SCATM an
