Abstract

Physical education is essentially an integral part of the education system as a whole. The purpose of education is not only to develop the physical realm, but also to develop aspects of health, critical thinking skills, emotional stability, social skills, and moral actions through physical activity and sports activities. Athletic learning is learning that must be taught in schools, from elementary school, junior high school, to high school. Short distance running is one of the numbers taught in grade VIII Junior High School ( JuniorHigh School)). Traditional games are easy to play and loved by children in their own area. The purpose of this study is to find out the improvement of students^ learning outcomes against sprint sprints through the traditional game grade VIII 3 SMP Negeri 7 Tambun Selatan. This research method uses the class action research method (PTK) while the population in this study is grade VIII 3 students of SMP Negeri 7 Tambun Selatan numbering 40 people. Grade retrieval is done through tests that cover 3 aspects, namely, affective, cognitive, and psychomotor aspects. Pre-cycle research found that students achieved a KKM score of 7.5%. Thus, the first cycle action was carried out where there was an increase that reached KKM by 17.5%. Because the presentation of students who reach KKM is still low, cycle II is carried out. In cycle action, II get a return increase in students reaching KKM by 57.5%.
