Abstract
This study aims to identify the gross and fine motor skills of students in the learning process of the Sports Education course. The research method used is descriptive method with the research population of Garut University students who contract compulsory courses for sports education institutions with a sample of 174 students, while the research instrument used is the growth motoric development test which can identify the individual^s ability to perform locomotor skills and movement. manipulative skills. The results obtained in this study prove that students have the ability to move locomotor skills with a good category of 41.78% and the ability to move manipulative skills with a sufficient category of 33.83%. The results of the analysis obtained prove that the basic motor skills of students are in the good category. Of course, this makes knowledge to improve the basic motor skills of individual humans starting from an early age and always doing movement activities, so that motor growth and development can last until old age.
