Abstract
Self-Esteem has been identified as an early buffer against childhood mental illness and with participation in physical activity as a mental health promotion approach, as well as additional treatment therapies for mental illness. The general assumption that physical activity can increase children^s Self-Esteem is well known, with meta-analyses revealing weak to moderate relationships but not in physical activity, Indonesian Sundanese traditional sports games. The purpose of this study is to find out the results of traditional ethnic sundanese game interventions in physical education learning towards self-esteem of primary school children. The purpose of this study was to determine the results of traditional Sundanese ethnic game interventions on the self-esteem of elementary school students in physical education learning. This research is a pre-post quasi research experiment. Experiment groups and control groups carried out treatment for 12 weeks. The instrument used in this study was the Self-esteem rating scale (SERS). The results of the paired t-test were obtained p<0.05 and t count>t table or 2.830>2.143 so it can be stated there is a significant difference in self-esteem of the experimental group before and after the implementation of traditional game treatment sundanese ethnic in physical education learning.
