Abstract

The use of ultrasonic sensors and nRF24001 transceivers is widely discussed in several journals for various purposes, one of which is as a real time distance meter. One system that requires real time communication is the distance detection system in motorized vehicles, especially cars. It is very important to always pay attention to the conditions around the car, especially when driving or when going to park a vehicle. However, sometimes because the driver is not careful in measuring the distance from the four sides of the vehicle things - things that are not desirable such as crashing into the parking bar. So that innovation is needed so that drivers more easily maintain a safe distance from each side of the vehicle by utilizing wireless technology advances in real time.

This study aims to help the driver detect the safe driving distance of the car by utilizing the HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor which can measure the safe distance on the front, right side, left side and back of the car. This tool is controlled by a micro controller namely Arduino UNO whose output will be directly displayed on the LCD with the nRF241001 transceiver as a wireless communication media. Later, the driver can monitor the safe driving distance in real time so that it can help reduce the risk of accidents while on the highway.
