The effect of organic mulch and Trichoderma sp on radish Yati Setiati Rachmawati, Agus Budiman and Kundang Harisman

Abstract
The use of organic mulch is an alternative modification of the underground environment so that it can store more water. As well as the use of trichoderma as an alternative to reducing the use of chemical fertilizers to support sustainable agriculture. This study aims to determine whether organic mulch and trichorderma can support sustainable agriculture. The research was conducted in Gambung Pangkalan Village, Cisondari Village, Pasir Jambu Subdistrict, Bandung Regency in April until June 2016. This research used factorial randomized block design (RBD) with 2 factors. The first factor is mulch which consists of control treatment (without mulch), rice straw mulch, paitan leaf mulch, and silver black plastic mulch, while the second factor is Trichoderma sp. which consisted of a control treatment (without Trichoderma sp.), 30 g/plant, 40 g/plant, and 50 g/plant so that all 16 treatment combinations were repeated 3 times. The results showed that the mulch and Trichoderma spp. there was no interaction for all observed parameters. However, it provides independently on leaf area index, tuber weight, and harvest index. Paitan leaf mulch and Trichoderma 50 g/plant can be used as an alternative to using black silver plastic mulch and Trichoderma 50 g/plant can be used as a biofertilizer for radish plants.
