Abstract
Since the data of flora is still limited, a species listing of orchids was conducted in the Mt. Burangrang Nature Reserve in West Java. The study were focused on terrestrial orchids because of their high extinction risk in their natural habitat. This study used an in situ observation survey method in two site of Mt. Burangrang NR, namely Purwakarta and Subang site, at 900 to 1500 m dpl. The samples were collected as living materials to be planted in Biology green house of Faculty Science and Technology, UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung. A total 16 species consisting of 13 genera were documented. Corymborkis veratrifolia was widespread in the observation block, particulary in the Purwakarta site. The forest area on the Purwakarta site had more terrestrial orchids than the forest area on the Subang side. Some terrestrial orchids are potential for ornamental plants, due to an attractive on their flower and leaves color.
