Abstract
PID controller is the most common controller that use in industry. Because of that fact, PID controller is important to learn by the students in university. The low cost PID heat controller training board is made as a media to learn PID controller effectively. The training board consists of power circuit and control circuit. The modelling of the heat controller system is done by analyzing step response of the system. The gains of proportional, integral and derivative are determined by empirical gain tuning. The PID controller can track the setpoint well and can be used as learning media in Basic Controller Design Subject.
