Abstract
This study aims to determine the effectiveness of Internet of Thing learning using the Seamolec platform through distance and open education in Southeast Asia. The background to this problem is the need for the Internet of Thing skill for polytechnic or vocational students in Southeast Asia. The learning model system used is a blended learning system or face-to-face learning with independent learning. The research method used was to analyze the results of sample trials in several schools. During independent learning activities, the platform used in this study was the MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) platform. The results obtained by testing the one group pretest-posttest there was an increase in students^ understanding of the Internet of Things^ basic material.
