Abstract
The development of technology regarding wireless electricity, the use of wireless electricity can also turn on devices electronics for example charging on a cellphone or wireless charger. This study aims to design a miniature Tesla Coil by comparing the differences in copper wire diameters, including 0.300 mm, 0.400 mm and 0.500 mm with a fixed voltage of 12 volts DC against the frequency produced. The method used in this research is to apply the experimental method. Researchers measured several variables, including a coil with a diameter of copper wire used as a Tesla Coil coil of 300 mm with a total of 500 turns producing a frequency of 11,776 kHz, a second Tesla Coil using a diameter of a copper wire wound of 0.400 mm with a number of turns of 500 coil producing a frequency of 2,1006 MHz, the third Tesla Coil uses a diameter of copper wire that is 0.500 mm with a total of 500 turns producing a frequency of 2.359 MHz. thus the influence of the diameter of the copper wire affects the size of the frequency produced.
