Abstract
Paratransit is a public transportation system owned by several developing cities in Indonesia. Cirebon City has a public transportation mode with a paratransit system called angkot. There are several things that can affect the resilience of the paratransit system in the Cirebon City, there are : 1) no changes of the paratransit network since 1997, 2) the decreasing number of fleet operations, 3) the decreasing number of passengers due to the covid 19 pandemic and 4) there is a new network of bus transit system called Trans Cirebon in Cirebon City. This study aims to identify the current condition of the paratransit network, inventory the overlapping between paratransit and Trans Cirebon network, and then analyze the impact of the existence of Trans Cirebon network on the paratransit network in Cirebon City using Geographic Information System (GIS). The results showed that the highest proportion of overlapping routes is the D1^s route with a proportion of 43.19% (in the same direction) and 31.41% (in the opposite direction). There are 9 schools, 25 office/hotel/bank facilities, and 4 health/customary facilities located on overlapping routes which have the potential to weaken the paratransit operational system in Cirebon City. This study recommends to make a changes of several paratransit routes that overlap with the Trans Cirebon network by setting the Trans Cirebon route as the trunk route and the paratransit route as the feeder route.
