Abstract
The continuous use of fossil energy in the form of oil and gas causes fossil energy reserves to run out quickly. The purpose of this research is to provide solutions for renewable energy sources to replace fossil energy by conducting experiments using windmills. To prove that wind energy can be used as a renewable energy source, experiments were carried out on making windmills with different diameters and numbers of propellers and dynamos. The experimental results show that the windmill generates an electric current with one dynamo of 50A to 52.5A and cannot turn on the lamp yet, and with two dynamos of 150.5A to 153A and can light the lamp. In this experiment, an electric current was obtained which was sufficient to turn on the lamp in the use of two dynamos with a propeller diameter of 12 cm and the number of propellers, namely five. It can be concluded that the wind energy produced is influenced by the diameter, number of blades and also the number of dynamos used.
