Abstract

Empowerment of STEM- research based learning is essential to developing student skills in the face of the industrial revolution by integrating science, technology, engineering and mathematic. The aim of the study was to design research-based learning activities with STEM cascara education on analyzing caffeine, trigonelline substance of cascara fermented by magnetic field to produce healthy herbal tea. The research uses a qualitative research approach, which is to develop, unravel, or reveal certain conditions or processes by describing facts, concepts, principles, and procedures and are supported by relevant data. The research of study present a framework for integrating the research based learning with the STEM approach such that it can improve students skills in solving problem utilizing cascara fermented by magnetic field to produce healthy herbal tea, thereby increasing the economic value of cascara.
