Abstract
Problem solving ability is one of the important abilities that students need to achieve in learning. This paper will describe the implementation of Science-based learning Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), especially on problems that exist around students related to sustainable development systems. The stages of the learning process include identifying problems by finding facts about the causes and effects of these problems, carrying out investigations, designing solutions to problems, testing solutions, and redesigning solutions. The learning stages are described and provided with examples of the results of student studies. The results show that the students are able to solve the problems well. This exposure is expected to be an inspiration for researchers, and / or educators in the implementation of STEM-based learning.
