Abstract

Good Health and Well-Being are some of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) targets, which are in the spotlight because they will directly impact the quality of human resources and the level of human well-being. One of the promotive efforts in improving the quality of health is through education in adolescence because this period determines the pattern of shaping health status in adulthood. The purpose of this study was to determine the profile of junior high school students^ understanding of healthy behavior, including physical activity, oral health, diet, driving safety, use of cigarettes, alcohol, and drugs, and the health of reproductive organs. Data were collected using questionnaires and interviews. The questionnaire was prepared in the form of a Google Form- a link was sent to respondents through WhatsApp. A total of 117 junior high school students participated in this study. From the results of the analysis and interpretation of research data, it is known that 98% of students already have a theoretical understanding of the ways and benefits of maintaining health. However, only 64.75% consistently apply it in their daily behavior. Analysis of data regarding driving safety, the use of cigarettes and drugs, and the behavior of maintaining reproductive organs, it is known that 83.23% of respondents already have a good understanding. Interestingly, there were misconceptions among students about addictive substances and ways to prevent sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), and 73% of adolescent respondents felt uncomfortable having discussions with their parents about reproductive organs and their problems.
