Abstract
This study aims to determine the quality and responses of students to the chemistry puzzles book as a learning media. The development model used is ADDIE with the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluate. Learning media quality testing is carried out based on validation by media experts and material experts. Then the feasibility test was conducted on seven chemistry subject teachers at three schools, namely 2 teachers from SMA Negeri 1 Tanah Pasir, 2 teachers from SMA Negeri 1 Matangkuli and 3 teachers from SMA Negeri 1 Syamtalira Aron. Then a student response test of 60 students from 3 schools was carried out to see the students responses to the learning media. The results showed that (1) from the results of the media expert validation, it was known that the total score obtained was 79 with a percentage of 75.7%, and the mean score was 3.03 with the category ^very feasible^, (2) from the results of the material expert validation. It is known that the total score obtained was 115 with a percentage of 92.7%, and the average score was 3.7 with the ^very feasible^ category, (3) the results of the feasibility test showed that the percentage of the average score was 87.12 with the category ^very feasible^, (4) the results of the student responses showed that the total average score was 4.4 in the ^very good^ category. For the overall results it can be stated to have good quality of chemistry puzzles book as a learning media for use in class X SMA students.
