Abstract
This study aims to determine the learning process and the role of the Powtoon animation media on the ability to complete mathematical arithmetic operations. The subjects of this study were 3 deaf students of class VIII SMP-LB. This study uses a mixed- method so that the data is generated from the observation process which is described as a percentage. The learning process is carried out by communication and total explanation. The results showed that the animation media gave a very good role in the learning process in terms of abilities, interests, attitudes, motivation and student involvement in the learning process. The use of attractive visual media can increase the learning focus of deaf students.
