Abstract
The learning process can run effectively and efficiently if using instructional materials that suit students^ needs, learning strategies that are suitable for students. The researcher developed a teaching material in the form of a mathematical module equipped with crossword puzzles and concept maps that will be filled by students themselves as an illustration of students^ conceptual understanding of what they learned. TTM Module (Mathematics Puzzle) uses Borg, W.R and Gall teaching material development models, namely- (1) Research and Information Collecting. (2) Planning. (3) Development of the initial product format (Develop Preliminary Form of product. (4) Product revision (Main Product Revision). (5) Field testing (Main Field Testing). Before going to the field trial stage the TTM module is validated first to 2 experts are learning media experts and education experts. The results of the analysis of the validation sheet get an average score of media experts of 75.25%, after being tested the product experts experience revisions, at the time of field testing researchers measured students^ learning interest 80% of students were very interested in studying the TTM module. Understanding of students^ mathematical concepts increases after experiencing the teaching and learning process. This was obtained from the management of the results of the pre-test and post-test of the same 20 students using the Lilliefors normality test and then tested by the Mann Whitney test to see an increase in understanding of students^ mathematical concepts. From the results obtained obtained that after using the TTM Module Understanding students^ mathematical concepts increases.
