Transforming Education through Mobile Learning to Improve Students^ Communication Skills Berlian Permata Sari

Abstract
In facing the era of super smart society (society 5.0), the world of education plays an important role in improving the quality of human resources, and it is necessary to change the educational paradigm. Among them, educators minimize their role as learning material providers. To answer the challenges of the industrial revolution 4.0 and society 5.0 in the world of education, it is necessary to have the 21st century skills or 4C (Creativity, Critical Thinking, Communication, Collaboration). Mobile learning represents a way to address a number of our educational problems. Devices such as smart phones and tablets enable innovation and help students, teachers, and parents gain access to digital content and personalized assessment. This research aim is to investigate the effectiveness of mobile learning toward students^ communication skills in learning science. The participant comes from one of International school in Bandung, Indonesia. The method that used in this research is a quasi-experimental design with one control group (N=21) and one experimental group (N=21) were involve in this research. The results showed that the use of mobile learning instruction was better than the conventional instruction. Based on the results showed that mobile learning can be an alternative tool to improve students^ communication skills significantly.
