Abstract
This research is a quantitative study using the design research method. This study aims to produce a learning trajectory and determine the role of value learning design that can assist students in understanding the material of the Two-Variable Linear Equation System using the Model Eliciting Activities (MEAs) approach. There are three stages in this research: preliminary design, design experiments, and retrospective analysis. The subjects in this study were students of grade VIII of SMP Xaverius 7 Palembang. Data collection techniques used interviews, pre-test, post-test, documentation and field notes. The results of this study indicate that learning values through the Model Eliciting Activities (MEAs) approach using the mathematical modeling stage can help students understand the material of the two-variable linear equation system.
