Abstract
This study aimed to analyze assessment profile in senior high school regarding the students^ skill in explaining scientific phenomena on the content of Covid-19 pandemic. The subject of this study consisted of six Senior High Schools (SMA) in Bandung, both public and private with good, fair, and poor grade, which were determined by random sampling. The instruments used in this study was a validation rubric for epistemic science skill based on PISA 2018. This study used both qualitative and quantitative descriptive study which was analyzed with descriptive statistics through the collection of formative and summative assessment, consisting Daily Examination, Midterm Examination, and Final Examination. A total of 146 Biology questions about virus from six Senior High Schools (SMA) in Bandung was collected. The questions were reviewed by using indicators rubric for measuring the skill of explaining phenomena scientifically based on the framework of PISA 2018. The results showed that only a small proportion (23%) of formative and summative questions from six high schools in Bandung contained the skills to explain phenomena about virus scientifically. There were no questions that linked the content about virus to the pandemic. The questions used tend to still focus on memorization and basic understanding and did not present data or any information that the students need to further investigate so that it was not adequate to test students^ literacy skill in dealing with the Covid 19 pandemic.
