Abstract
The purpose of this study is to describe the ability of reasoning and mathematical proof in mathematical induction material in terms of the level of adversity quotient owned by students and examines the qualitative relationship between reasoning and mathematical proofing abilities with the level of adversity quotient of students in mathematics induction material in terms of the adversity quotient level. This research is a descriptive study using a qualitative approach. The subjects of this study were obtained by carrying out an adversity quotient test using an adversity response quotient questionnaire instrument which was followed by 32 students of class XI at one of the high schools in Bandung. The results of the adversity response quotient questionnaire will be taken by 6 people, 2 students each based on the adversity quotient level of intelligence, 2 samples for Quitter students (QU), 2 samples for Camper students (Ca) and 2 samples Climber students (Cl). The ability of reasoning and mathematical proof will be given by using a written test, while the indicators used are making assumptions, manipulating, determining patterns and drawing conclusions.
