Abstract
In the learning process, a learning model or method is an important tool. It can be a key to reach the learning goals. In other side, it can also give negative effects for students learning process. Learning obstacles can be caused of the learning model. Some students may experience difficulties to learn a concept with a certain learning model. The obstacles are called didactical obstacle. This study aims to analyze the learning obstacles that are caused of the learning models that uses a hermeneutic phenomenological approach descriptively. Purposive sampling technique is used to get six subjects from a group of students of Mathematics Education Department in Indraprasta PGRI University. The data are collected by observation, test, and interview. To verify the data validity, this uses the triangulation technique. The results show that students find some difficulties to learn the combinatorics concept. The difficulties also give effects to students to solve the combinatorics problems.
