Abstract
In early 2020, the world was shocked by the coronavirus outbreak (COVID-19) that infected almost all countries in the world. WHO since January 2020 has declared the world into a global emergency related to this virus [1]. In guava there are compounds myricetin, luteolin, kaempferol and hesperidin. Luteolin is known as a furin protein inhibitor, which is thought to be one of the enzymes that breaks down the Coronavirus^s S (spike) protein [2]. The hesperidin/hesperitin compound in the study in silico is known to inhibit the RBD domain bonding of the SARS-Cov-2 spike protein with ACE2 receptors in humans so that hesperidin is predicted to potentially inhibit the inclusion of the SARS-Cov-2 virus. Myricetin is known to act as a helicase inhibitor of SARS coronavirus. Kaempferol acts as an autopaghy modulator, both as an inducer and an inhibitor. Both can be utilized in strategies to inhibit the SARS-CoV-2 virus. The high content of Vitamin C causes this fruit to be used as an immune booster when physical conditions are needed to fight diseases including viruses [3]. This mouthwash can be one of the effective ways to suppress the spread of covid because Coronavirus can spread through saliva droplets [4]. In collecting the required data, the authors used the Library Research method, which is that the information obtained refers to several national and international journals related to the themes. The goal in this writing is to be expected that this innovative product can be utilized by the public as an alternative solution for COVID-19 mouthwash derived from red guava extract herbal, thus reducing the prevalence of COVID-19 in Indonesia.
